No matter your skill level, these workshop will fill you up with all the good things in life.... fungi, making things, good company, tea and cake!
Set in our beautiful new home in Healesville, I invite you to come along and get swept up in the fantastical world of fungi through sculpture and painting.
By hosting small groups (max. 6), all participants will be treated to fun, relaxing and creative workshop experiences. You'll even get a little show-bag to take home!
Over two sessions (2.5hrs each. 5hrs total), everyone will make their own set of five fungi sculptures and also learn some of the basics on how to paint with watercolours.
In the first session you will learn how to use an air dry modelling clay to sculpt your collection of fungi. I'll show you all of the tricks I've learnt over the years using this medium.
In this session you will also be introduced to watercolour painting and I will guide everyone through a range of techniques that I use in my paintings.
By the second session all of the fungi sculptures will be dry, so you will learn how to paint them and add the details that will make them look life-like such as moss, dirt, twigs etc. We will also varnish the completed pieces.
We will continue to experiment with watercolour paint and I will guide everyone to create a beautiful fungi painting (or two).
I will supply all of the materials for the sculptures, paint, brushes and paper as well as hot and cold drinks and morning/afternoon tea. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements.
